The Best Kept Secret on Hilton Head Island
If you are out exploring Hilton Head Island, head down Jonesville Road off Spanish Wells and discover The Paddocks. This is the best kept secret on Hilton Head Island. Almost 50% sold out this community offers a relaxed architecture style which reflects a Low-country heritage, blurring the lines between indoors and outside. I moved into this area 4 years ago after doing extensive market research and have loved every minute.
Convenient to both the South End and the North End of Hilton Head Island, Jonesville Road is located off Spanish Wells Road home. The Paddocks is .7 mile on right. Although it’s a secluded refuge, it’s just a minute from the Cross Island Parkway, which puts you close to dining, shopping, schools and beaches.
I did an aerial photo because I wanted to see what was around the property we were buying. What I saw were new neighborhoods, tidal marshes and beautiful home-sites. This was a good sign as it meant new neighbors and new construction in the future which would add value to my personal home and investment. I also liked that the homes surrounding my property were big, beautiful and built in the last several years.
This peninsula called Jonesville Road has great natural beauty. The marshes come to life with tree swallows, rails, hawks, crickets and crabs making marsh music throughout the 4 seasons. The sunsets over Jarvis Creek are bright and beautiful. The homes, communities and natural beauty are to be enjoyed by all.
The Paddocks includes 36 acres covered in Spanish moss draped oaks, Palmettos and Native Pines. Located between the tidal marshes of Jarvis Creek and Old House Creek, there is always a nice breeze. Unlike other Hilton Head areas, these newer communities cluster together gracefully forming traditional neighborhoods. This is one of the last areas on Hilton Head where you can buy land and build a home the way you want it.
Jonesville Road has great new communities including The Paddocks, Shearwater, Graham Lane, The Barn Subdivision and Jarvis Creek. This was the last area to get water and sewer on Hilton Head and it is a place time forgot. It offers a relaxed feeling with architecture that is Southern Vernacular. Jonesville offers a sanctuary on the Island for a vanishing way of life.
The Paddocks features all single family homes within the security gate. The Paddocks Benefit List include over 2 miles of walking trails, a beautiful lap pool, a spa, activity lawn, new neighbors, new homes and an owners amenity center for weddings, family parties, outside cook outs and owners events. Newer homes within this community blend fabulous low country architecture elements with metal roofs, era designs with sweeping verandas and outdoor living areas.
The docks for The Barn or the community crabbing dock on Jonesville are a great place to take the kids or a special friend to go crabbing during “slack tide”. All you really need is a chicken neck, a string and a net. Get ready to belly laugh when you finally catch a crab and try to put them in the cooler. Oh be sure to bring tongs as you do not want to get pinched! It is easier to let them go!
Come visit…we think you will love this part of Hilton Head. A neighbor said, “The Paddocks has the Low Country’s quiet lay-back charm and the advantage of being on “THE ISLAND”…that’s why I came here”.
New Homes start at $569,000 and home-sites start at only $145,500 for the best kept secret on Hilton Head Island. Please e-mail Robbie Bunting, Jane Hyers or call (843)785-7111.
