Hilton Head Island has a great masterplan!

In the case of Hilton Head Island, it was started in 1957 by Charles Fraser when he and his brother Joseph started the Sea Pines Company.  Frasers’ original vision for development was to embrace the environment and create a resort that offered a lifestyle unique to the Low-Country.
