If you have not seen Hilton Head from the water, you have not seen Hilton Head.  To  begin this adventure visit one of the Island marinas that offer power boat, paddle board and kayak rentals.  The inland waters surrounding Hilton Head are easy to navigate with local charts, GPS and guidance that comes with your rental.  Hilton Head marinas are located on the sunset side of the Island.  These marinas are  unique and some offer great waterfront dining opportunities.  Marina and Island hopping is lot of fun with family and friends. Updated October 2015.  If you are looking for ideas for Halloween on Hilton Head, posted below are some fun parties and celebrations around the Island.  One of my families favorites was trick or treating in our golf cart.  The kids would dash to the homes with a front porch light on as we would visit with friends in our cart.   There are events like this all around Hilton Head including costume parties, haunted houses and fun things to do on Hilton Head Island.  Read the rest of this entry



Where can we watch 4th of July Fireworks on Hilton Head Island?

This years 4th of July fireworks locations on Hilton Head Island will be Harbourtown, Shelter Cove and Skull Creek Marina.  While the fireworks will be set off from these three areas, they can also be enjoyed from a boat, a dock, the beach or even Daufuskie Island.   This years high tide will be around 6 pm, so when the fireworks are set off there will be plenty of beach to watch them from.  Below are the hours for the Hilton Head Islands 4th of July Firework displays!  Read the rest of this entry

Harbour Town’s 4th of July Festivities.

Shelter Cove’s July 4th fireworks.

Located at Mile Marker 8 off of William Hilton Parkway.  Performances by Shannon Tanner will begin at 6:30PM and fireworks will start at dusk.  Between these events, guests can enjoy the food  and arts and crafts.  There is no charge to walk around. www.palmettodunes.com

Skull Creek Community Fireworks at Hudson’s.

Outside entertainment beginning at 6 p.m. with food and drinks available for purchase.
