Hilton Head 4th of JulyThere are three firework displays on Hilton Head and many places to watch them when you are on an Island in the Low-Country.  This years 4th of July firework displays will take place in Harbourtown, Shelter Cove and Skull Creek Marina.  While these areas offer excellent vantage points, watching the night skies light up from a boat, a dock, a marina, Daufuskie Island or the beach on Hilton Head Island can be pretty awesome.   As well, there should be plenty of beach to watch the fireworks as the tide will be going out by dusk this year.

View the Fireworks on Hilton Head from the water.

The Calibogue Sound between Harbour Town and Dafuskie Island provide the perfect launch for the Harbour Town fireworks show.  There are kayak expeditions for the rugged at heart, and several cruises including the “Spirit of Harbourtown”, “Vagabond” and “Holiday”.  If you wish to sign up for a 4th of July firework boat cruise contact one of the following marinas on Hilton Head:  Broad Creek Marina, Shelter Cove Harbour, Skull Creek Marina, Harbourtown Marina, South Beach Marina, or Skull Creek Marina.  If you wish to take a small group out, ask the marina if they have any boat captains that will do a firework tour.

View the fireworks from a Hilton Head Restaurant

If you prefer to watch the fireworks in the cool air conditioning of a restaurant we would suggest making reservations.  Several of these restaurants are waterfront, so if you have a choice, request a waterfront table.  These restaurants are in three areas of the Island and include:

  • Skull Creek Community Fireworks try The Old Fort Pub, Hudsons, The Boathouse, Chart House or Sunset Grill.
  • Palmetto Dunes Fireworks try Scotts Fish Market, Bistro 17, San Miguels, Little Venice or Ellas
  • Sea Pines Harbourtown fireworks try The Quarterdeck, Crazy Crab, Harborside Cafe and The Waterfront Cafe.
