Is it a villa, a town-home or a condo on Hilton Head?

Be the first to comment on this post Categories: Communities and Areas

Everyone refers to a condo on Hilton Head Island as a “villa”. It could be a town-home, it could be on the third floor, no matter the shape or size they are all called villas here on Hilton Head Island. Just like our marinas are Harbours, spelled with an “our” and management companies are called regimes, we like to be different.  And a villa sounds good, but what is it really? HGTV’s Coming to Hilton Head

Hello,

My name is Denielle Johnson and I’m a casting producer on HGTV’s new and improved Bang for your Buck.  The Hilton Head Island area is one of the first stops on our tour, and I’d love to speak with you about any suggestions you may have.

We are looking to feature fun and energetic homeowners who own vacation rentals and have recently (in the past 5 years) done a renovation on the property.  We are really hoping to find spaces with a distinct Hilton Head vibe to them.  This episode will focus on three similar vacation rentals at similar price points.  Our expert Vern Yip will then determine which of the three homeowners have gotten the biggest bang for their buck.  The winner of this episode will receive a generous grand prize!  (see below)

Thanks!

Denielle

The other day drove we drove to Savannah in the late afternoon, shopped, had dinner and were back on the Island at 8 pm.  While we were there my wife introduced us to an incredible “Bee Store” and we sampled the Tupelo Honey which as the story goes comes from blossoms that only are out for a few weeks in a specific region.   If you have a chance to visit Savannah check out the Carriage Tours, Paula Deens Restaurant~ The Lady and Sons, Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, The Crystal Beer ParlorHistoric River StreetForsyth Park, and Bonaventure Cemetery.

We met with Steve Wilmot, the Tournament Director for The RBC Heritage locally sponsored by Boeing. Steve shares with us how this PGA Tournament provides benefits to the local community from its worldwide coverage. I think this is the very best real estate marketing program we have. The tournament fuels our local and state businesses to the tune of around $80 million dollars in economic impact.  We all benefit from the RBC Heritage in some way whether you are a seller, buyer, business person, visitor or local.   On a Realtor level a simple link to one of our websites can help with ticket sales and introduce new and returning visitors to the Island, a great time of year and great golf.  If you would like to explore ways you can get involved, please visit Heritage Foundations Website.

Rental properties on Hilton Head may have taken a beating in value but they have kept on ticking when it comes to rental income. While some values have dropped on rental properties (approximately 36%) on Hilton Head Island, the gross rental income has stayed fairly constant. Recently purchasers have warmed up to rental properties as they negotiate some very sweet deals on some of the best locations.  Although investors have started buying these rental properties, we still have a few great locations available.
