The Heritage continues on Hilton Head Island

Recently with the announcement of The RBC Heritage we have seen new interest and energy move into the Hilton Head Real Estate market.  As an Islander The Heritage is about PGA Golf but it is also about an Island celebrating spring with azaleas blooming and happy suntan people enjoying the Low Country.  The tournament is also an economic engine for the area. The Clemson/USCB Economic Impact Study done for 2010 indicates more than $81 million in economic benefits occur here in Beaufort County during tournament week alone.   With about 1,100 jobs created and another $10 million in state and local tax benefits we are feeling the effects already!

The other day a friend called and asked what the story was regarding the man and the alligator on Pope Avenue.  I told him the guy with the cap walking with the gator was Charles Fraser the founder of Sea Pines, and more importantly the man who discovered the present day covenant.  I further explained that Charles went to Yale and was being groomed for his families lumbering business, but when he first saw the natural beauty of Hilton  Head Island, all bets were off in cutting down any trees for his dad.

Everyone loves spring on Hilton Head Island.  Festivals and events are complimented with beautiful weather and spring flowers bloom.  Of course, one of the best reasons to travel to the Island in Spring of 2011 is that some of the best real estate deals will be made during this season.  No one can argue that we will ever have better properties, better prices, better locations or better interest rates than we have now.   Market has created opportunity, one that we most likely will never see again.  So plan your attendance to these events and schedule some time with a local REALTOR to see why you should make a move on real estate during your visit.
