Our move is official and while the transition was seamless the only little blip in the entire move was our office signs.  We had planned and paid for our great signs 3 months ago and we now have a new sign guy and are charging full steam ahead.  Fortunately we planned this move at the slowest time of the year.  So…if you are out and about, just look for the office with big blank white signs in front and back and stop in and say hello.  The office is incredible and is located at 12 New Orleans Road, right next to Charlies.  We even have our stocking hung at the front desk and the office is decorated for Christmas!

No Cliffs on Hilton Head Island

Most Hilton Head buyers base their purchasing decision more on emotion than logic.  As we drive around the Island, Hilton Head buyers rarely ask how much mortgage interest they get on this one or that one.  While the mortgage interest deduction is important, its not the main reason to own a great property on Hilton Head.  There are other reasons and with over 10,000 baby boomers turning 65 everyday we do expect to get calls even if the Bush Era Tax does expires.  Hopefully it does not. Apples and Oranges on Hilton Head Island

How do you like them apples?  The other day an agent called and told me that she felt my value was too high on a property where the stone came up to your elbows in the hallways.  I am sure there was smoke coming out of my ears as I searched for an appropriate answer. Builder friends of mine were charging $150 to $300 per square foot and we were throwing all our homes into the same basket.

Half Backs on Hilton Head Island

As a teenager, I visited the Island in 70’s with my family. We all fell in love with the charm of the Island and one by one we all moved our families here.  Visitors just like my family are doing the same thing.  They have been visiting the Island for vacation and are returning to the Island when they are ready for a change in lifestyle.  It is familiar and comfortable.  These visitors are creating market trends that are fairly predictable which include Half Backs, Be Backs, Boomers and the upcoming Generations X & Y.
