Had a glass of wine with a client the other night as we admired their newly purchased villa.  We talked about the 70 degree weather we were enjoying on Hilton Head and my client mentioned that they were now thinking of making the move permanent.  Keep in mind, 10 years earlier these same clients told me they would never  consider moving from their Ohio hometown.  That was their home, Hilton Head was just a fun place they loved.  It was never considered a place to live full time. There are two types of Quarter Ownership on Hilton Head Island.  With a rotating quarter, an owner gets 6 two-week ownership periods spread throughout the year plus a single week in January.  Each year the ownership periods adjust so that over a four-year period, each owner has had access to all 52 weeks.  With a fixed quarter, the 13 weeks are back to back depending on which quarter you own (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th).
